Hi Folks just a reminder that the first of hopefully a regular monthly meeting will be happening on the first tuesday of the month so the the first meeting will be on tuesday December the 6th from 6pm to 9.30 ish ? pm.

It's a low key affair for everyone to catch up with each other and see whats happening with your vans over winter and what ideas you have on a crappy tuesday night.

As an incentive there will be 10% off all stocked items except those already on special offer and genuine parts, There will be some other exceptions but we will do our very best to do something on them.

Also if we can get some confirmed bookings then we will be doing our Quantum engine re-maps for a crazy £199.99 thats £75 cheaper than usual and £149 cheaper than RRP but be quick as we have limited space due to the amount of time we have here.

Just because the shop is open does that mean you have to buy anything it's just a chance for some late night shopping also we are undercover so don't worry if it's raining !!

So about 10 years ago boss man Ade is playing around with sites on his Autronic ecu advancing ignition, using abs hubs to read rear wheel speeds to trigger progressive nitrous and also traction control out on the road all in a car that's built in 1982 and such technology blows any modern remap out of the water and then some !

So we now find ourselves back looking at the performance side of things and we have been working with a respected obd tuner and have been sending files back and fore to create a new line of Transporters r us remaps which are aimed at the T4 tdi's and the T5 tdi models.

We are also about to take delivery of some T5 DPF delete pipes as we can code the DPF file out of the vehicle once the DPF has been phisically removed which is good news for those who want that bit extra but more importantly are sick of taking the things back to the dealers for DPF faults.

The remaps are going to be rolled out nationwide over the next month or so and are available at our Swansea HQ pretty much now and are at a introductory offer of £274.99 and that includes a lifetime warranty, a 30 day money back guarantee and an indemnity if your engine fails as a direct result of the remap NOW you don't get that with your £200 " meet you in the services " remappers now do you !

V-MAXX T4 "COILOVER" FITTING AND QUICK ROAD TEST !!!

So today we were at a loose end and new boy chris needed a hands on 101 regarding torsion bars and how to tweak them when they lose a bit of tension.
Ok so V-maxx say they drop -40mm to -75mm so we new they were not going to be lowriders from the start as we had some -85mm t4srus brand springs fitted to the camo van, the camo van -85mm springs were the very first set we had commissioned 4 years ago and it still had the stock dampers it left the factory with but it still handled very well with not a lot of body roll but some times the ride felt crashy due to the tired dampers and the front being wound down a little too far.

So first off we took some measurements as the van had a definite lean going on to one side and this is 99.9% of the time down to the front torsion bars loosing tension on one side more than the other, i have meant to adjust this for the last 12 months but you know how it goes ;)

Yep the fronts were out by approx 7mm which by the time that runs up to the rear means the rears were about 15mm out, so anyway i thought we will come to that after we fit the new rears.
Removed all the old parts from the rear and fitted the new V-maxx bits giving the coilover platform threads a good coating of coilover prep (free with OUR v-maxx kits),after we fitted them we could see that the rear had lifted a little.
On to the fronts we fitted the new front dampers and then set about the torsion bar adjustment, we wound the front up approx 5mm on the threads and then adjusted them so the front sat level, bit at a time we adjusted lowering one side and raising the other a couple of millimeters at a time so the front sat at the same ride height either side,a quick spin around the car park to settle it all and back in on a perfectly level floor we measured and adjusted a little more and it sat equal on the front and the rears was 2mm out from left to right so that's good enough for us.

So wound the dampening adjusters in all the way in on the rears making the valve smaller so the shock is slower and firmer and the front backed off all the way and then wound them in 6 clicks making them quicker and softer than the rears.
Out on the road WOW what a difference the van feels so much composed and not as crashy as we lifted it up slightly, the van sits 10mm higher than what it did with our -85mm springs which confirms V-maxx got their sums right as our -85mm drops a stock transporter -85mm unlike those crap £50 springs on ebay that claim -55/60mm that actually drop about 100mm and rides like crap !

I was curious to see how they would compress with some weight so 3 of the boys (approx 250kg) jumped in the rear end and the van hardly compressed.

In summary a nice competent kit which does what it says on the tin and you still have the ability to use your van as a van and allows you to drive through bends/roundabouts quicker and with more confidence than before, not crazy low but come on man up if you want "slammed" go get a mk4 golf on some FK coilovers with an R32 sway bar and you will look cooler than an old builders van!!

Chris followed me home in his new 1.6 16v clio and could not believe how well the van went with the remap and how composed it was on the road and although he kept up with it he said at no point he would have been able to overtake me.

All good then and backed up by a u.k distributor, good on us i say bolting stuff on and trying it so you guys don't have to, now thats something a lot of sellers can't say.

Another year another set of T5 coilovers, These bad boys are the first ones to have helper springs so if you are used to having a mk4 golf you know what to do you naughty boys to slam that turkey in to the ground.
The rears are shorter than any of the other kits i've seen :-0

Price should be the same as our T5 budget kit and they even come with some coilover prep spray.
Just need a guinea pig to try them now as i aint pulling our green turd apart again :(

Ok we have run out of room again so we have signed for a new place which is 4 times the size and have been busy working on the new gaff for the last 2 weeks with new offices, security and shop front so we are going to have to close this coming wednesday 23rd until tuesday 29th to move in and set up the phones and computer hubs.

To all our customers thanks again for taking the time to visit the site or ring us and order your bits and bobs from a sump plug to a full suspension kit it always makes my day and hopefully we still give you the best service that we can, I know there have been a few glitches but usually it's down to lack of communication on both sides.

I know a lot of you try to speak to me personally through the day but i have taken a back seat within the main structure of the business so i can divide my time between purchasing and over seeing the goods in side of things which means i am not in the main building anymore so don't take it personally if the sales team tell you i'm out or with somebody as it is often the case and they can usually handle your queery.

Next year we have a few things in the pipeline including possibly relocating to a bigger premises to get everything under one roof instead of having to go back and fore our other warehouse therefore cutting down on packing times and getting more out of the door per day and having a more customer orientated trade counter with more products on display and a dedicated member of staff to help you.

Also we are going to fix it so that it does not snow next christmas so you get all your bits on time !!!!!!!!

We had to leave a car at Gatwick cos of the snow and the other vehicles are in bits as usual so i taxed the camo van yesterday which has sat outside my house unused since vanfest (sept 10th), so armed with a new battery and tools i expect to have to manually unlock the doors but to my suprise the doors opened when i pressed the alarm fob so i thought to myself give it a try if theres a bit of life left in the battery.
The ignition lights came on,glowplug light went out and vroom she fired straight away without a stutter and when i drove it to work it was as if i had never stopped using it.
Why do people aspire to have over complicated and unreliable T5's when the T4 is the better bus ?

Arrrgghh !!

were are back thanks to the weather, it took us 11 hours to get from swansea to gatwick thanks to lorries crashing on the M25 and then the motorway just froze in front of our very eyes.

We had to leave the car up there and get a train back :(

Gatwick was shut wednesday and thursday so that buggered it so we are back and the phones are back open until the 9th which is when we try to fly again .

Just had a small quantity of our new T4'S r us shorter adjustable shocks made by our good friends at AVO so quality is second to none and made in the u.k.
These will work awesome with all of our lowering springs( plus others)and will also work good if you have done the top mount notch that seems to be gaining popularity as the damper is shorter than any thing out there.
These are slightly shorter than the billy b6's and are fully adjustable and boast poly urethane bushes compared to other damper which have rubber.
These are a shock perverts dream and dont forget exclusive to Transporters R us.

Intro Price is going to be £324.99 a set of 4 which comes in 90 bucks cheaper than B6's and these are bespoke to us and are intended for low vans in mind which others seem to ignore.

OOOOOHHHH How many retailers get busy out of hours with some metal work ?
We aint talking rock and roll beds here we are talking some seriously (dodgy?)different practises of banding some rims for the van.
I think there are 2 specilists here in the u.k who can band your wheels for you but seeing as we have already sorted a set out on Dogs 55 ford pick up we thought we would knock up a full set for ourselves.
It's ok folks as usual we know what we are doing and our lad on the end of the torch is fully coded (about twice a month), If you fancy some the answer is no as we dont sell rock and roll beds due to the safety aspects leave alone splitting wheels and rewelding them !

Is it me or is there a new T4/T5 specialist cropping up every week lately ?
Crikey i think there were more at vanfest this year than there was punters :)

Remember folks you get what you pay for, For example we got sent some T4 Clear indicators the other day as a sample and all looked good until we went to fit them on the van and realised there was no stop moulded in to the unit meaning the light could be pushed back in to the wing and fall out if pulled.

We only sell depo units here which in 5 years of selling we have had less than 5 single units faulty.

If it's cheap then it's proberbly gash !

RIGHT DUDES, I got to make some space here so i am getting rid of my stash of USED T4 parts, side doors/tailgates/doors/captains seat/mint 03 passenger seat/clocks lock sets/acv gear box/caravelle rear bumper various bits and bobs inc some brand new front bumpers which have the fog holes cut too small.
The pics show pretty much the extent of what we have like i say just need to clear a corner out and cant be arsed with ebay

We keep getting asked if our HD springs will stop my wheels rubbing and the answer is no !
As long as the wheels are the correct dimensions then you can take the rear springs clean out and still drive on the bumpstops with NO SPRINGS !

If you are looking at wheels which have a lower offset (ET/Backspacing) of 42mm i.e 35mm then you are going to get problems as the lower the figure the more they will protrude past the wheelarch which is trouble.
If your wheels are rubbing then you need new wheels or possibly new tyres (we only use a 225/45/18 tyre on our T4's) springs no matter how strong are meant to compress and will do so if you hit a bump fast enough !
Meanwhile here is a a pic of one of my spanking hot Rondells with an offset of 13mm and 8.5" wide which if you paid attention in class above won't work on a T4 !

The big Ems struck gold when he took the plunge and we fitted a set of our revised T5's r us coilovers, thats got to be the lowest van around not on air.
All you haters thats his mutha flucking mudflaps sitting on the floor, we are number one so go balls deep or go home !
Got some more coming in next week, ride as good as the v-maxx and we just put 2500 miles on that van and all sweet.

We have some Chrome T4 and T5 badgeless grills in, Our own T5 air Filters to rival all the other Hi- Performance stuff out there, T5 Fog wiring looms with relays and relay plugs with Headlight switches, T5 Coilover kit for less money than the vmaxx kit and T4 2.5" Stainless Exhaust systems as well as the new side exit ones we have here.
We got some other things due in soon so keep an eye on the shop.

Having some calls on my cell phone from friends and good customers that some misinformation is rife on some forums (No way misinformation on forums !)that we are closed down.
How dare i have 1 week off in two years, some people saying that we have too much money (WTF !)and we need to take on more staff (ERRR we just lost one) and we cant hang with the homeboys so just to confirm-

1- we are Sorting out the warehouse
2- we are implimenting some new systems to make everything smoother for us and you.
3- we certainly aint got a lot of money as we have to compete with knob jockeys selling stuff tax free from back bedrooms and lock ups !
4- we are staff training but see reason 3 why we haven't got an army working for us.

So for any faggot ney sayers unfortunately for them we WILL be trading again Monday 8th of March and anyone who's ok with it then we salute you.

Im writing this from a blackberry in the middle of knowhere where there are no VW'S and no warehouses just the open road, Hopefully the guys and gals at the shop are doing their thing and we will be back 10 times faster and stronger !!!

Thats it, I have had it to my back teeth of working 15 hour days busting my balls for piss all thanks, Richy Retard the joey packer quit last week and dropped the rest of us in the shit as I have had to pack all the boxes, do the goods in and order the stock as well as talk to knob head mechanics who know piss all about vans.
We are having a shake up here and seeing as i have been working non stop 7 days a week for the last two years i deserve some down time.
We will be back soon and hopefully recharged or maybe i might be locked up in a f**king nuthouse !

Rico's truck is getting used well over here, Had to go to the couriers today as we missed a delivery (Who the hell is up at 8.15 am !!)so we headed over there and picked up 2 boxes of T5 headlights which cost more than the truck !

Here at the shop Rico bought himself a Load of trouble in the shape of a 1.6 petrol caddy pick up.
We drove it back from cardiff and it went well for about 20 miles then started missing it's tits off so i think we will have to take it over to Terry Tuning for a good tweaking.
Hopefully we can sort it out in the evenings with him !

Hey we finally pulled our finger out and sorted a trade counter out at last, You can come in and look at some stock and kick back a little with us and save yourself on postage !

We have just had a range of new uprated bulbs in to go with our Uprated wiring looms.
Some of the bulbs have these crazy Rocket booster packs on them to make your van fly to the moon !!!!!!!
Ok maybe a exaggeration but they have a ceramic block that conducts heat a lot better making the bulb cooler and more efficient and are fresh out for 2010 !!!

Also you can see the Uprated wiring loom, These are AWESOME, They connect directly to the battery and hey presto you have 12 volts at your headlight plugs just like most cars on the road rather than 10.5 volts that VW saw fit to use on T4's and Mk1 and 2 golfs.
Easy to fit and will light up the road especially with our Brighter bulbs. :)

VW T5 V-maxx coilovers report after 2500 miles.

We fitted the V-MAXX coilovers as soon as everybody else had them sat in their front rooms, but thought we would give them a bit of time out on the road.
Anyway they are a doddle to fit clocking us just over 3 hours to fit including replacing wishbone bushes, drop links and bottom ball joints and rod ends so as long as everything goes to plan and you or your garage have had a few T5's apart it should take 2 hours if theres someone to give you a hand with the heavy bits.

They have lowered the van -75mm on the rear and approx 55mm on the front, ours is a 1.9 version and a good friend of ours has assured his has dropped down approx 70mm proberbly due to the extra 80 kg weight difference with the 2.5 tdi.

Out on the road the van is much more composed than before when we had just -60mm springs with stock dampers, the ride is much more forgiving than on springs and i now like driving the T5 again, i haven't bothered trying out the 20 odd different settings on the dampers i will leave that to some keyboard jockey on a forum but at the end of the day i dont think a change in rebound dampening is going to turn a van in to a Caterham.

To summerise- A good set up for the money,Your not going to win any lowrider competions with them but it will bring the van closer to the floor than standard and it will handle better after fitting them.
Sure ours sat 12mm lower on the front on our old springs but i will let that one go as i can now drive srtaight over speed bumps instead of zig zagging them .

If you want to go lower then buy some H&R coilovers off us for £1500 and then you can brag to your forum buddies how low your van is and how much better off you are than others !!!

Sorry we ain't done the blog for a while but we have been busy building a shop and setting up relations with some new People.
Any how i lost the camera i took to Essen and found it in the glove box of my Homeboys 54 Ford, Anyway here they are.

P.S That tractor engine has 8 gt turbos and puts out about 5000hp on funny fuel !!!!!

All in all it was a pretty good show, Not much van stuff there but we hooked up with some people we already new and met a couple more so that was all good.
It was easy to get to and thank F**K for starbucks and Subway cos it aint easy being a veggie in sausage central that i can tell thee !!!!

VW T4 Coilovers, No mystery !

Yeah We got them, Were getting calls on these and there seems to be a lot of confusion on the forums so heres the deal.
Your stuck with a front torsion bar set up until somebody works out a safe way to do away with it and stop bumpsteer/Geometry issues, So this is what you get from germany-
4x shorter dampers, 2adjustable rear spring perches and 2 mega short springs, we spoke to everyone at Essen thats promising Coilovers and they are all this set up.
Your looking at £400 for a set and we may be having A premium version out in spring.

Tonna Tiki AKA The defector Tonmawr Tiki has hung up his Goose stepping sneakers and gone all jap with a nissan.
£1100 for a 91 2.7 TD caravan with electric everyting including full lecci curtains,panoramic lecci sunroof, lecci seats,windows and even lecci adjustable dampers and captains seats on swivels all as standard.

Just had some Chrome or black debadged grills to suit the T5 caravelle front bumpers, they are proper quality and are priced a lot cheaper than other grills for the five's.

Christ on a bike, went to gsf for oil today for the T5 and even with my trade account it still cost £75 for 8 litres of the stuff plus a filter plus a sump plug and washer.
T5's are way too spendy for me !!

Our new delivery of T4 Kamei roof spoilers dropped in today, made from A.B.S Plastic not rippled crap fibreglass. These would fit with just blu-tack (we don't recommend it), These are a body shops dream and once painted will take on average 90 seconds to fit perfectly with no gaps or having to use a whole tube of sikaflex to bring the thing up to level on the one side.

There not cheap at £103.99 but they come with fitting instructions and panel wipe, primer and bonding glue and are 10 times better than the ill fitting crap on eBay.

These are more of a discreet shape than the other T4 spoilers and only available for the Tailgate door .

A new set of rims landed here at Transporter towers today from a good freind in Germany who's been hoarding rims and after twisting his schwitzing ferker for a while he let us have a set of staggered RH cups 8.5 x 18 and 9.5 x 18, hopefully get some boots on them this week and get them on for bristol next month.

They will proberbly still be sitting on the floor for the next six months waiting for a chance to get them on between phone calls ;)

Tonna Tiki (was tonmawr Tiki but he's moved to Tonna) has got a new whip, we drove all the way to barnstable for this £510 ebay turd which sat at 80 mph all the way home and pulled like a champ.

Then he hit it with his tiki stick and has ruined it by jacking it up 60mm and painting it in two tone satin black and red with a little bit of napalm death detailing.

Look out for this bad boy at Bristol volksfest where no doubt his bamboo side bars will make it van of the show !

New T5 sill steps

We Got these coming in toward s the end of may for the T5's to fit the 2 front doors and the side door. Price for these brushed alloy ones with rubber grips are circa £99 for the set and chequer plate ones for circa £60 the set.

They are both cnc cut and bent with the radiused lip over the edge, quality german products again not just a bit of plate cut with a jigsaw !

The camoo van is back on the road at last, it's been a local attraction over the seaside town of tonmawr where the locals have been chanting and throwing virgins at it's wheels to keep the cow gods happy !

The old heffer has been stood dead for approx 4 months due to a broken down main engine loom and we aint had time to fix her but we got her running the night before vanwest and she flew to the show effortlessly. We are going to give her a bit of tlc and a set of staggered RH cups are sitting on the shop floor waiting to go on !
