A trial period on new opening hours.

So it looks like we will be having a trial on opening hours in the run up till Christmas 2013- We will be opening Saturday mornings but we loathe getting out of bed as much as some of you do so the general opinion with the staff and customers is to do a 10 am start but we are undecided as what time to finish.
It will either be 1 or 2pm.
The other thing we might try is extending our daily hours to 6pm closing rather than 5pm as again customers cannot always make it to us because of work commitments so us "nice people" will work a little longer to accommodate you.
Keep an eye out over the next day or so for our revised opening hours.

New VW T5 spherical bearing top mounts

So we have had the air on the grey van for 6 months and the top mounts had to be butchered for the srtuts to work so we got some race car style 360 degree bearing top mounts made.
The van was suffering with a clonk when going from lock to lock and didn't feel to clever so needs must and one of our friends who had a similar problem with his aired out van came up with 2 prototypes of these (1 for him 1 for us).
we fitted them and instantly noticed the difference plus the other positive side effect is the van sits about 5 mm lower so happy days.
Theres not a lot of vehicles with a whopping 85 bhp with alloy top mounts leave alone T5 vans ;)

More race inspired steering mods soon lol !!!

KleEnFReAks First try !

We Are now pleased to announce that we are now stockists for KleenFreaks detailing products , So the proof is in the pudding and decided to give the shampoo and wheel cleaner a try out today.

As you can see it's covered in sea gul doo doo

Smells like bubble gum

Dont forget to give it a pre rinse

Start on the roof and work your way down

KleenFreaks shampoo seems nice and foamy from a bucket all good so far

I never use wheel cleaner on our 19" nue's but this wheel cleaner is ph neutral acid free so no worries

All finished and left to dry, hardly any streaks and a nice shine

Wheels came out really nice and most caddy owners know the cv boots spit out a bit of grease now and then
and the wheel cleaner got rid of any residue(look at the inside of that rim).


In summary I am well impressed with KleenFreaks so far, the product performs really well and is all natural with no nasty chemicals that are found in traditional valeting products and using any kind of wheel cleaner other than acid free is a big no no on any of our vehicles.
The wax is the next thing to apply to our shop vans but that will have to wait until they are stickered up as the graphics wont stick to the paintwork because it will be too slippery but one of our car buddies with ocd has used it and loves it.

Sorry seem to spend all my time posting van stuff on facebook so i do apologise, heres a truce blog followers how about i give you the heads up on our shop T5 ???

Ok it's gone in for a colour change and it's having some 20" wheels and Mr Geoff skinner from hastings is having it for the second week in march to fit some of his fine stuff with some custom Bilstein B8 shocks.

Should be cool and once it's done i'll post pics up on here first HONEST I WILL !

Van Night (An evening of van loving and story telling).

Hi Folks just a reminder that the first of hopefully a regular monthly meeting will be happening on the first tuesday of the month so the the first meeting will be on tuesday December the 6th from 6pm to 9.30 ish ? pm.

It's a low key affair for everyone to catch up with each other and see whats happening with your vans over winter and what ideas you have on a crappy tuesday night.

As an incentive there will be 10% off all stocked items except those already on special offer and genuine parts, There will be some other exceptions but we will do our very best to do something on them.

Help yourself to free tea and coffee and also have a first look at some new products that we have just had in.
Also if we can get some confirmed bookings then we will be doing our Quantum engine re-maps for a crazy £199.99 thats £75 cheaper than usual and £149 cheaper than RRP but be quick as we have limited space due to the amount of time we have here.

Just because the shop is open does that mean you have to buy anything it's just a chance for some late night shopping also we are undercover so don't worry if it's raining !!

There will be some signs to direct you from the top of the road but you need to do your homework to get here as we will not be answering the phones after 5pm and wont be able to talk you in !
